Provisional Translation
- In the name of the Peerless Friend
- The world is engulfed with the fires of tyranny and injustice.
- The heedless have chosen the vanities of the world over everlasting bliss.
- The people of equity were wronged
- and taken prisoners by the followers of oppression.
- The events that took place in the land of Sád were a testimony
- to the truth of what has been alleged:
- “Blessed is he who hath not been held back from the Most Glorious One
- by the protests of the heedless.”
- O Amatu’lláh!
- You are residing in your home and the Wronged One of the World
- has turned His attention to you,
- making mention of you from the Most Great Prison.
- If you should choose to give thanks to God
- using all the tongues of all the inhabitants of all the world,
- then you would find it as nothing compared to this Most Great Beauty.
- Appreciate the value of His favor and cling to the cord of His bestowal.
- Convey the greetings of this Wronged One to all the handmaidens of that land,
- that is, to those who believe in God,
- and hail them with the glad-tidings of His revelation
- that all may engage with happiness and joy in chanting His praise
- during the days of His manifestation.
- At this time, the Pen of the Most High mentions your daughter.
- Happy is the one who in this Day of God
- hath quaffed the wine of His love and turned unto His Horizon.
- Glory be upon thee and upon thy daughter,
- and upon the one who is called Mirzá
- and upon the servants of God and His handmaidens,
- and upon those who have turned to the Highest Horizon
- when the Lord of the Universe
- appeared with clear and certain Authority.
